Lyricist
Rue wonders, "Where's the Magic?" in Rescue Rue Off-Broadway
Stacey writes songs in a variety of styles with a balance of quirk, humor, and heart - character, and storytelling.
After Stacey made her off-Broadway lyricist debut with Rescue Rue, she couldn't wait for the world to hear the sequel, Runaway Rue (project with collaborator Angela Parrish)... so she produced it at Hollywood Fringe last summer! (She can now confirm "Good Dog" is a bop and "Meow's! the Moment" belongs in the next Eurovision contest.) A musically-trained lyricist, Stacey has an innate sense of form and function. Furthermore she's refined her craft at Dramatists Guild Institute (with Adam Gwon and Marcy Heisler), the Songwriting School of Los Angeles (Rob Seals), and New Musicals Inc. to name a few. She's also a trained Musical Improviser, so no deadline is too short!
