Director

Directing Reading Buddies
Sure, everyone eventually says "what I really want to do is direct!", but fun fact: Stacey's been at it for years.
After studying Directing at Fordham University, Stacey continued honing her craft in both live and recorded mediums. Her specialties are musical theater with visual storytelling -- often including elements of puppetry. Her staging has been called "brisk and inventive" (Talkin' Broadway) and "full-blown theater" (NY Times). But perhaps her favorite review comes from Theater That Matters, who said Rescue Rue is, "If Jonathan Larson directed Sesame Street" (if you know, you know - and as a former Renthead, Stacey knows). Stacey served as director of the Premiere Productions of Rescue Rue (Off-Broadway), Runaway Rue (LA/World Premiere), Ludo's Broken Bride (NYMF, Ars Nova), as well as Ink & Paint by Danielle E. Moore (LA/Musical Premiere) and The Girl & The Water Carrier by Ben Gown.

In the TV/Film/Digital space, Stacey served as co-director to the award-winning short Beach Day which in turn lead to a commission with Heather Henson's Handmade Puppet Dreams, called Cone of Shame. She also directed Liz Hara's HedgeHearts, a 30-min short film/pilot rom-com about two spike-crossed Hedgehogs, and the 2nd and 3rd seasons of The Reading League's Reading Buddies now airing on PBS stations across the country!
