Directing Reading Buddies

Sure, everyone eventually says "what I really want to do is direct!", but fun fact: Stacey's been at it for years.

After studying Directing at Fordham University, Stacey continued honing her craft in both live and recorded mediums. Her specialties are musical theater with visual storytelling -- often including elements of puppetry. Her staging has been called "brisk and inventive" (Talkin' Broadway) and "full-blown theater" (NY Times). But perhaps her favorite review comes from Theater That Matters, who said Rescue Rue is, "If Jonathan Larson directed Sesame Street" (if you know, you know).

In the TV/Film/Digital space, Stacey served as co-director to the award-winning short Beach Day which in turn lead to a commission with Heather Henson's Handmade Puppet Dreams, called Cone of Shame. She also directed Liz Hara's HedgeHearts, a 30-min short film/pilot rom-com about two spike-crossed Hedgehogs, and the 2nd and 3rd seasons of The Reading League's Reading Buddies now airing on PBS stations across the country!
